Speedpaint: From Flame

So it's with this that I announce to you all that I have finally started up a Youtube channel for speed paintings, and maybe eventually tutorials? (I don't know how brave I feel yet). Mostly I wanted to try to do a few personal illustrations a month and upload their time-lapses. Before I get into dropping links, here's a little about the illustration:

This was how I spent a Sunday afternoon! Initially, I had no idea what I was doing or where I was going- I just knew that I wanted to use my day off for some personal work and get something recorded. Conceptually, this is for Miroak, my world-building project. It's sort of an early pass, but I like the features of the head so much that I don't think I'm going to end up changing that bit a ton. More of this sort of thing at another date.

I tried a lot of different things, so this didn't take off as quickly as I would have liked, but the results are pretty moody and pleasing, so I think I'll be adding some of those techniques into my usual workflow (I have since used a few of them again for a contest piece I've made. I'd like to upload it, but at this point in time, I can't yet.)

I would appreciate any likes or subscribes to try to get this thing at least a little bit off the ground! The experience was very enjoyable and cathartic from start to finish; I'm so happy I'm finally able to do these! Any advice is also very appreciated.
